Cake & chocolate-covered
Old-fashioned cake donuts and chocolate-covered — the ones folks call the best in town.
Wyoming, Michigan · Since 1975
A glass case full of color, a gold cursive sign, and Marge already there since 4 a.m. — every single day on 28th Street, just the way it's been since 1975.
Fresh since 4 a.m. — every day for 50 years.
No two days are exactly alike. The fryers are going by 4 a.m. and the trays fill up from there — here's a taste of what regulars drive in for.

Old-fashioned cake donuts and chocolate-covered — the ones folks call the best in town.
Craggy, glazed, fruit folded right in. The case classic, fried in small batches all morning.
Cream-filled and chocolate-topped — the long john people ask for by name.
Maple glaze on a cinnamon donut, or maple bacon on a cake donut. Sweet-and-savory done right.
Filled donuts, donuts arranged as a cake, and a "talking donut" with a message piped right on top.

Marge Wilson spent about twenty years in banking before she bought the old Dixie Cream donut shop she'd visited as a kid — and renamed it Marge's Donut Den in 1975. By her own telling, she "only knew a glazed and a chocolate-covered" when she started.
"Where you meet old friends and make new ones."
She still arrives at 4 a.m., 365 days a year, and "Quality Comes First" is printed right on the box for a reason.
"If you run a business and it's successful, maybe that's why God does it so that you'll have the money to do it for somebody else."— Marge Wilson, Fox17Read our story
